The Second Sunday Concert Series is wrapping up its 2013 season of free live music in Washington Park with the one and only Percy Sledge. The rhythm and blues legend and Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame Inductee is known around the globe for his chart-topping, heart-throbbing ballads like “Warm and Tender Love,” “Take Time to Know Her” and “When a Man Loves a Woman.”
Joined by Sledge’s band, the Bluesmasters, the show starts at 6 p.m. Get there early to secure your picnic spot. Washington Park is located at the corner of College Street and Washington Avenue in the College Hill Corridor of Macon, Georgia. Lawn chairs, blankets, coolers and leashed pets are welcomed. No grills or tents please.
This free live music event was made possible by Presenting Sponsors Cassidy Dental Group and the MRI Center of Central Georgia, as well as additional support from our Stage Sponsors. We’d also like to welcome Cathead Vodka to our sponsors! The Mississippi distillery has made it a mission to support live music events across the south, which now includes Second Sunday!
