The College Hill Corridor is welcoming one-to-watch recording artist Sophia Bastian for a full-weekend of live music performances. As part of a Knight Neighborhood Challenge grant, the Macon Music Ambassadors project will preview the upcoming art initiative that invites regional recording artists to Macon to experience the affordable housing, high quality of life and creative opportunities.
As part of the project, Sophia will perform a free concert on Friday at noon in Mercer Village. She will spend Saturday performing a private concert in a historic home in the College Hill Corridor. And on Sunday, she will headline the Second Sunday Concert in Washington Park. During her time in Macon, Sophia, who currently resides in NYC, will be given a tour of the neighborhood and shown the many assets of living, working and playing in the Corridor.
Please welcome Sophia Bastian on Friday at noon in Mercer Village and again on Sunday, from 6-8 p.m., in Washington Park. Local reggae band Dubshak will open the Second Sunday show. All concerts remain free and open to the public because of our sponsors.
